Yorkshire Real Ale Festival Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st July 11am to Midnight

  • East Coast Brewing Bonhomme Richard 3.6%
  • Brewed in Filey and named after John Paul Jones flagship which led the US fleet during the Battle of Flamborough Head in 1779.

  • Great Heck Brewing Hecks Angel 3.9%
  • Great Heck began brewing their award winning beers in 2008.

  • Toad Brewery Golden Angel 4%
  • Toad only began production in May 2010 and are the first brewery in the centre of Doncaster for over 20 years. Nearly all the ingredients are produced and sourced in the area around Doncaster.

  • Bird Brain Brewery Royal Sunbird 4.1%
  • East Yorkshire’s newest brewery began brewing in Howden in 2009. Starting small scale producing beers for beer festivals Bird Brain have recently expanded into commercial sales.

  • Thorne Brewing Dunston’s Ships 4.1%
  • Brewing returned to Thorne in May 2009 with the setting up of a community brewery. Dunston’s Ships has been brewed specially to celebrate Yorkshire Day in 2010 commemorating Dunston’s shipbuilders based in Thorne and Hessle.

  • Saltaire Brewery Summer Ale 4.2%
  • Light refreshing golden ale with a mix of English and Continental hops from one of Yorkshires most successful micro-breweries.

  • Great Newsome Harvest’s Gold 4.7%
  • Brewed in Holderness at South Frodingham near Patrington Great Newsome began brewing on the family farm in May 2007. Harvest’s Gold celebrates the crop harvest on their farm.

  • Saltaire Brewery Triple Chocoholic 4.8%
  • Triple Chocoholic is a multi award winning creation from Saltaire Head Brewer Tony Gartland. Brewed using chocolate malts, chocolate syrup and real chocolate this beer was named by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Supreme Champion 2010.

    8th June to 21 June 2010 Due to Janet and I taking a well deserved holiday the Hop & Vine will be in the capable hands of Esther and Gary.

    As a result the bar will be opening at 12 Wednesday to Saturday. Also there will be a reduced menu available in the evenings.

    Our 3rd anniversary beer festival begins on Thursday 5th November and will feature 10 real ales.

    For those football fans attending the Hull City match on Sunday we shall be open from 12noon to allow you a chance to blot out the next two hours of desperation!
