Real ale, Real food, Good wine and a Real welcome
Welcome to the Hop and Vine's web site, OK, so this isn't as good as being in
the bar itself, but it will tell you all about the pub if you haven't visited us yet. And if
you have, this site will let you know today's range of cask ales
and ciders and today's specials from the kitchen.
Thirsty?
The Hop and Vine is Hull's smallest and friendliest pub. As it's run by
CAMRA
stalwarts Stewart and Janet, you know real ale will be a big feature, with two or three
ever changing craft real ales on sale from micro breweries across the country
(we've sold
476 different cask ales
since we opened, 3 years ago). But that's only the
tip of the iceberg; the ales are complimented by a selection of imported bottled
Belgian beers,
farmhouse cider and perry
and draught Czech beers (including the rare Budvar
Dark lager). There's an large range of
wines and
spirits too.

Hungry?
The kitchen forms the other part of the partnership that makes the Hop and Vine
such an exceptional little bar. All food is home made on the premises. From
panini and
sandwiches
on today's
choices of handmade bread (if you are lucky the smell of baking will
greet you as you enter), to
cold meat platters salads and homemade soups. Those
with a sweet tooth aren't forgotten either, with an ever changing range of
sweets and freshly baked cakes.
Online blackboard updated daily
This modest little site has one rare feature,
the online blackboard
is updated every night. It shows the real ales, farmhouse ciders, and food specials
on sale now!
